Alpine
Our Alpine station is a guest at Sul Ross University. It is located on the third floor of a classroom building. In addition to the city, coverage extends to a considerable distance toward Interstate 10 to the north, as well as in the direction of Big Bend Park. We've been there during the balloon festival.
Photos show our non-invasive sandbag secured rooftop antenna installation, a typical spur station with GE MASTR-IITM radios, duplexed for link and repeater use. The controller is our own I-SquareTM unit.
The local club repeater is at the top of the right-hand peak shown at lower right. What a site!
